Armand Maulana-Tarian Pendet

**************************************************************************************
I came across the article about Armand being angry on this matter from our local newspaper last weekend. So, I googled on Indonesian newspaper for more report on it. And, dia ungkit about ambalat too. Huissshhh..marahnya semua orang. I havent got the chance to see this Discovery Channel program called Enigmatic Malaysia. Indonesian claimed that it is a Tourism Malaysia- Malaysia Truly Asia advertisement when it was clearly not. It was a promotional clip put together by Discovery Channel produced by KRU Studios. However, there is no response from KRU so far. So, here are my comments:

1: Bodohnya ngko KRU woiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sah2 tu bukan tarian negara kita, yg ko bodoh sgt buat klip tu apesal?????? punya la byk tarian kat mesia ni, ko nak jugak letak tarian pendet tu pehal???? tarian inang ada, tarian zapin ada, tarian naga ada, tarian siput babi pun ada!!!! nampak aje mcm bagus2 korang ni, tapi bodoh ropenyer.

2: Kehadapan artis2 indonesia dan rakyat2 nya yg sedang menggelabah ni: Maaf byk2 sbb ada org bodoh kat negara kitorang yg tak guna otak bila membuat kerja. But........, disebabkan satu tarian, korang punya marah mcm org gila? Siap ungkit pasal ambalat, pasal maid kena dera, pasal manohara dan malaysia mengeksport nordin mat top??? hehehe..korang ni emotional la sgt. meh sini aku ungkit, mcm mana org2 indon yg pecah masuk umah aku rompak sume brg mak pak aku yg dorang simpan dgn duit dorang selama dorang bekerja 30 tahun..mcm mana perompak2 indon gak yg pecah masuk umah kawan aku, siap letak parang kat tengkuk mak dia, ikat tgn mak, adik dia sume semata2 nak merompak. meh sini aku citer mcm mana kitorang layan pendatang2 indonesia dgn baiknya di sini sehinggakan maid arwah nenek aku tu pun bole balik ke negara asal, menjadi kaya dan membeli tanah utk dibuat rumah..(yg layanan tak baik je la korang nampak kat depan btg hidung korang kan?). korang cuba la pegi kg. pandan tu, korang akan nampak satu perkampungan org2 indon..haaa..murah hati kan org mesia..siap bagi kawasan tu..takde org kacau pun.sume org indon la buka kedai runcit kat situ sampai gaduh2 org aceh ngan org minang ngan org jawa.aku pun tak paham. dah dtg negara org, patu nak gaduh sesama sendrik. meh sini aku cerita mcm mana sorang kontraktor pendatang indon yg memperolehi pendapatan rm40k sebulan semata2 kerana percaya nya org mesia kat korang utk buat rumah2 kitorang.

3: Hishhhhh..kalau nak suh aku citer mmg byk la kan..Armand dgn angkuh ckp, kalau takde show kat mesia pun takpe..bukan dia nak pegi sangat pun.show kat negara dia lagi byk.

4: I love GIGI. I remember in APM 2008, Armand walked onto the stage to accept an award, and he said, dia banyak dgr cerita about malaysia-indonesia perang mulut. dia ckp, dia sanggup berjuang sekiranya muzik boleh menyatukan kan kita..hehe..I wonder what happened to him this year. So much from the man who shouted Love, Peace and Respect...sigh...

p/s: I should have said, I loveD gigi..with a capital D

You gotta be kidding me!!

My First Roald Dahl

I first met Roald Dahl's creations when I was in form 1. We had this inter-class coral speaking competition. After an audition, I was selected into the team. I even got a line to myself!!!!whoaaaaa...hehehe..Anyway, this is the poem. This is the beginning of my love affair with Roald Dahl's creative thinking. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you to my school for introducing a lot of english lit that I enjoyed reading and I hope I can meet those books again to give to my children.

p/s: The lady's line...Was my line..(bole imagine tak, I sebut those lines dlm sore yg mengada2?..hehehe..)

The Dentist and the Crocodile - by Roald Dahl

The crocodile, with cunning smile, sat in the dentist's chair.
He said, "Right here and everywhere my teeth require repair".
The dentist's face was turning white. He quivered, quaked and shook.
He muttered, "I suppose I'm going to have to take a look".
"I want you" Crocodile declared, "To do the back ones first.
The molars at the very back are easily the worst".
He opened wide his massive jaws. It was a fearsome sight.
At least three hundred pointed teeth, all sharp and white.
The dentist kept himself well clear. He stood two yards away.
He chose the longest probe he had to search out the decay.
"I said to do the back ones first!" the Crocodile called out.
"You're much too far away, dear sir, to see what you're about.
To do the back ones properly you've got to put your head deep
down inside my great big mouth" the grinning Crocodile said.
The poor old dentist wrung his hands and, weeping in despair.
He cried, "No, no! I see them all extremely well from here!"
Just then, in burst a lady, in her hands a golden chain.
She cried, "Oh Croc, you naughty boy, you're playing tricks again!"
"Watch out!" The dentist shrieked and started climbing up the wall.
"He's after me! He's after you! He's going to eat us all!"
"Dont be a twit" The lady said, and flashed a gorgeous smile.
"He's harmless. He's my little pet, my lovely crocodile".

note: gotta to put this in music category..cos it sounds like music to me..

Liyana Jasmay

ok babes..i'm not here to become a music critic or watever. but merely to express my thoughts. U can love me or loathe me, the ball is in your court.

Yesterday, arab and I were listening to xfm(formerly known as xfresh.fm kot). They have this new segment called xgig extended. Which I think is very refreshing and cool. And apparently liyana jasmay and her band were performing. She is extremely a terrible singer. Thats all I can say. And I think she is humiliating herself in launching a singing career (she is a good actress btw. I love her in Castello). The pitch was off, the vocal fitness was not up to expectation, it was horrendous!!!

At the end of the gig, there was an interview with her and the band and she said, dont be judgemental in listening to her songs and listen with an open heart, open mind bla bla bla. I was like...wtf?????? Tell me liyana, how can i not be judgemental when your singing was not good enough for you to call yourself a singer. You buat band and menyanyi ni, suka2 je ke? You tau tak, suara you tak sedap? Your voice takde keistimewaan langsung, flat je. Keunikkan memang jauh sekali..Adehhh..

Again, I'm not trying to be an expert here. But, I know my ears and listening skill wont lie to me. Tapi jangan la sampai membuatkan orang mempersoalkan kredibiliti anda. Remember, people nowadays are smarter. So, stop feeding us with crap!!!!!!

Enough crap already..Good luck Liyana..To her fan, keep listening..hehe..

Patterns

I'm crazy with wall stickers right now. They are not widely used here in KL yet. I mean we here are more familiar with graphic wall paper. But wall stickers are manageable, adjustable, easy, etc..I wish I can have them on my wall...

Its a sad story afterall...

KUALA LUMPUR: Uncle Chen (not his real name) was brought to Ampang Hospital after suffering a fall. He has never seen home since then and is now living at the Kim Loo Ting Hong Ying Old Folks Home in Setapak here.

Chen, 74, recalls seeing a man whom he recognised as his son while he was in the hospital. He had happily thought that he was going to be taken home to his son’s house, only to watch helplessly as the man disappeared from sight.

When a social welfare volunteer confronted the man after Chen had pointed him out, the man denied knowing him or having any family ties to him.

That was five months ago, and even though he knows he has been abandoned by his children – he also has a daughter – Chen refused to be angry with them.

“As a parent, we never bear grudges against our children,” he said, wiping away tears.

Attempts to locate Chen’s son and his next of kin by the welfare home and the hospital staff failed as the home where Chen’s family members lived is no longer there.

He is one of several parents who were abandoned in public hospitals at a time when they should be spending their “golden years” with their family.

Children who could or would no longer bear the cost of taking care of their aged and infirm parents are treating hospitals like a “dumping ground” because food, shelter and medication are provided by the Government.

And it saves them the hassle of applying for places for their parents in government-run welfare homes.

Another senior citizen, Ng Ah Kow, who was left at the Penang Hospital, kept saying “Wa ai tui chu, tapi bor lui” (Hokkien for “I want to go home but I have no money”) during an interview.

According to the hospital’s medical social services department head Lim Bee Ean, Ng, 68, was ready to go home after being discharged on May 13 but no one has come to pick him up.

Ng said only his older sister Kam Looi had visited him once in the hospital, about a week after he was warded for fainting during a routine check-up on April 14.

“She said she wanted to take me home but did not have money for the bus fare and to settle my medical bills. I have not seen her since then,” recalled Ng.

In Kajang, Mahmud Rahmad, 58, cuts a lone figure as he tends the garden in the compound of the Nur Hasanah Welfare Centre.

“I am sad about being left alone but I understand that my children have their own lives to lead,” said Mahmud, a former security guard who has been living on his own. He was sent to the hospital by a taxi driver after he collapsed.

Mahmud, a diabetic with a heart ailment, was sent to the welfare home last June after hospital authorities failed to contact his two children.

It is the same sad story for Ramu, 72, who has been stranded at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban for months now following the authorities’ failure to contact his family members.

The address given by his relatives when they admitted him at the hospital does not exist and Ramu is now waiting to be placed in an old folks home.

Hospital director Dr Jaafar Che Mat said most of the senior citizens abandoned at the facility were either cancer, stroke or mentally ill patients.

In Malacca, wheelchair-bound widow Asmah Hassan, 80, has given up hope of living with any of her seven daughters after her husband passed away.

“Three years ago, I was kicked out from the house of one of my daughters in Kuala Lumpur after staying there for a month.

“When I sought shelter in another daughter’s house in Johor Baru, she did not allow me,” confided Asmah, who said she tapped rubber to bring up her children.

It was only after her neighbours reported her case to the hospital that she was finally placed in a home.

ellymustafa: Long time ago, I had a conversation with an ex-colleague, who told me, in her culture, children are not responsible for their parents, in other words, its not their responsibility in taking care of their parents. I told her, but they took care of you since you were born. They made sure you have enough to eat, saw to your education needs, worked their ass off to put a decent roof above your head and on top of that, they never stop praying for your happiness and all. And she said to me, thats their responsibilities!!! And they can never ask for us to return it.

Hmmm..I never known any parent who would ask their children to repay them. But as a child, on your goddam conscience, how could you not feel responsible for them?

Long time ago, a took cab back from my work place. We had a little chat. He asked me, why work so late? So many work haa? I told him, do a little bit over time la uncle. Can have more money to give mommy. Owh..u give your mommy money haa? Good daughter la you. I got two sons. Both working and married now. I sent them school in America and one in Australia. Never give me money. Thats why la I drive taxi until now so old also drive taxi. But its ok la..As long as they are happy with their families, I'm also happy...

You see, they never asked anything from us..Only to see us happy, healthy, etc..But can we do the same for them? Tepuk dada, tanya selera...

Potty Talk

Do you dig public toilets? For me, it depends. Some are ok. Ok means the cleanliness level with enough tissue, the entrance fee, etc. Toilets here are either equipped with water hose or in klcc case, the water comes up to you from the bowl. Korang pernah rasa tak masa korang pancut air kat 'situ' tetiba air terkuat la..adehhhh...sakit tauuuuu..tak pun its too slow..ada tu, hose pendek je..tak sampai pun..terpaksalah cebok guna tangan gak..dan yg paling sakit hati kalau ada org sblm kita yg guna, tapi tak flush the toilet..susah sgt ke nak flush toilet???hissh..tak paham.I dont know abt others, but whenever i use public toilet, i would shee shee quietly, i'm so embarassed by the sound of it.malu kalau org dgr..bak mak teh i ckp..'kuatnyer kencing, goreng ikan keli ke?'.hahahaha...

Speaking of public toilets, do you listen to conversations by other people in toilets? I do..hahaha..(kepoh tak bertempat)..i pernah dengar two girls discussing abt having an abortion..siap tya kat mana murah, patu yg kawan dia bole jwb, 'ko selalu buat kat mana? tmpt aku buat ni murah sket tau'..hmm..once, i heard a girl had a fight with her boyfriend over the phone..maki2,menangis mcm org gila to the phone..owh yeah..i menyaksikan pergaduhan between two girls in the toilet..siap tarik2 rambut sume..i went inside and got off at once..i pernah dgr sounds like people were having sex in the next cubicle..and i intai dari bawah..nampak kaki je..hehehe..i pernah nampak seorang artis popular tahun 90s menangis teresak2 di dalam toilet.tatau la kenapa kan..i pun pernah nampak lagi sorang artis plak, menari2 atas sinki nyer counter di dlm sebuah club.mabuk kot..i pernah dgr a conversation seorang isteri dgn suaminyer (telephone), yg mengatakan dia balik lambat arini, keje tak habis lagi, 'abang tolong jaga budak2 tu kejap ye' (padahal dia kat toilet karaoke yow chuan)...haaa tipu laki sendrik..i pernah dgr, three girls were talking, and one of them cakap..'smlm aku makan kat gerai tomyam ngan kakak aku, abg kedai tu ckp muka aku mcm mas idayu (dengan bangganyer disamakan dgn artis la kot..i was like...wtf????)..

Hehehe..Macam2 kan..Pelik, but for us girls, toilets can be an interesting place. You can have a discussion. Or borak2 kosong. Esok nak masak ape. Esok nak pakai baju ape nak pegi keje. Nak beli prostinor kat mana? makan prostinor dlm toilet pun adaa..hahahaha...I plak, i pernah dengki kat cubicle sebelah and pancut kan air kat bawah...hahahaah...(itu namanyer, dah takde keje..atau sedang melalui fasa nakal).

Do you dig 'em?

lets climb the roof!!

I went to pns today to submit some documents. pns is located inside pwtc. so, i went to the counter which is located down the ground floor or watever floor u may call it.an officer told me to go the level 9. arab and i, almost lost trying to find the stairs or elevator to the bangunan hussein onn, finally found the stairs that we think was located way far isolated from other entrances in the building.which i found weird and so not 'visitor-friendly' at all. so, we climb the stairs and we reached a lobby.we got into the elevator to the level 9.

Once we got there, there was not a single soul, man the counter (i wonder why do they have a counter when they dont have a person to look after it). i sneaked into the office area and politely asked the first lady that came across me.and i asked..bla..bla..bla..and she told me..owh..u got to go to the next door.the lady at the counter will tell you what to do.and so we went to the next door.there were two ladies there.one politely told me to go to level 12 and see siti bla bla bla..i said thank you again. we waited for the elevator to go to the 12th floor.

Once there, again there was a counter but with no officer watsoever.and again, i got into the office area and asked the first person i saw to get siti bla bla bla for me.she told me ok.and without standing up, she told me to be seated first while she gets siti bla bla bla for me.there were three seats..and all occupied with their staff.(i saw them wearing pns id).i looked at arab and he vice versa.macam mana kita nak duduk.and the staff yang sedang berborak kat tempat guests tu pun buat bodo je.tak pelawa kitorang langsung duduk walaupun i tauuuuuuuu yg dorang tauuuuuuuu kitorang ni guests la kan..so, both of us berdiri la betul2 depan counter yg takde orang tu..after 5 minutes and so, siti bla bla bla came out..i told her..bla bla bla..do u know what siti bla bla bla told me.owh..u got to go to the 13th floor and see tengku bla bla bla.and before she finished her sentence i saw arab already at the elevator area pressing the going up button..hahaha..nak tergelak pun ada.panas pun ada la kannnnnnnnn.

We got up to the 13th floor (nombor suwey cina cakap)..mmg suwey pun laaaaaaaa..again somebody told us to go to level 21.we got into the elevator..this time arab cakap..ape kata, kita naik sampai bumbung..patu from there, kita call pns and cakap..saya dah ada sampai bumbung niiiiiiiiiiiii..bila bole jumpa pegawai yg bertugas?????????hahahahaha..nak pengsan i gelak..tapi sbb penat ke sana sini..pendam kan aje..muka pun dah merah kan..

At last, i jumpa gak officer nyer at 21st floor..tapi bukan tengku bla bla bla..but suraya bla bla bla.she said she will pass this to the pic..sigh..seb baik dia a pregger so, i nak ckp sinis2 pun tak baik..and she was also a nice lady..tima kasih la pns untuk detour kali ini. i pernah called a government department before and i was passed around. but this is the first time, i got it to my face.and actually doing it..sigh again..

the.king.of.pop - my story

when i heard about MJ's death today, i was shocked.I mean, we know that he was battling with the skin cancer and what not, but to hear a living legend died during your life time is something isnt it?

Like many people, I grew up with MJ's songs. He is our time JT (even Timberlake cant match his achievements).I remember watching Billie jean music video, practicing moon walk dance, saving my weekly allowance to buy his album (which is in cassette in those days).Sigh..I will miss his songs, the stories about his eccentric behavior, etc..Sigh again..I miss him already.

My favorite song of his is Ben.He made this song when he was still a teenager. Share with me your favorite! And what are the things u remember with his songs..

A tribute to MJ..come on..sing with me..'we are the world..we are the children...'

my dream getaway..

Do u have a place where u dream to go for a getaway? mine is greece..one particular reason is the gorgeous beaches and islands that she has. not to mention the mediterranean weather, the acropolis in athens..and of course the white cliff-side homes.whoaaa...so serene.the picturesque greece..

I always dream that, if i have more than enough money (always short of 'em nowadays..hehe), i will make greece as my permanent resident. i will open a small, nice and homely coffee shop selling whatever not alongside the cobblestone street..and i will have one small, nice and white house by the famous cliff of course.I will walk my dog dawn time by the beach (if i'm allowed to), playing throw and catch.Catching up with my readings (which i have been ignoring for the past few months).Walking hand in hand with my guitarhero looking for antiques(do we like antiques, sayang? haha)or maybe not antiques la, lets just walk for the sake of walking ok..i will also have one small, nice white boat, just perfect for the three of us. I will be living in my dream..

So, what is your dream getaway? tell me...tell me..
